Resolute worked closely with Ungaretti & Harris LLP on Fairview bankruptcy case

CHICAGO – The M&A Advisor recently recognized Resolute client Ungaretti & Harris LLP for its role as lead bankruptcy counsel to continuing care retirement community Fairview Village.  Resolute coordinated all internal and external communications throughout the successful restructuring process.

The Resolute team developed a strategic plan to reassure residents and their families, employees, vendors and the media about the long-term benefits of bankruptcy restructuring.  The plan addressed fiscal, operational and lifestyle concerns and debunked myths and misconceptions.  Resolute’s proactive engagement built good will with all involved parties, eliminated negative stories in high-profile news outlets and contributed to a successful financial resolution for Fairview.

The case concluded with a Section 363 sale of nearly all of Fairview’s assets to an affiliate of Lifespace communities for approximately $20 million.  Lifespace is the seventh-largest non-profit senior living provider in the U.S.

The honor was delivered at the 6^th Annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards.  An independent judging committee of experts chose the winners.
