Communications strategist James Chisholm will lead New England operations

Chisholm will serve clients throughout the region on a variety of policy issues including technology, broadband and telecommunications, providing strategic counsel and messaging to clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups and not-for-profit organizations.

James most recently served as Chief of Staff to At Large Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley and directed two history-making campaigns.  Councilor Pressley became the first women of color ever elected to the Boston City Council in 2009 and won a competitive reelection campaign in 2011, in the process becoming the first person of color to ever top the ticket in a citywide Council race. In both cases the campaign built coalitions that crossed traditional demographic and geographic boundaries.

Prior to his work with Pressley, James served as a speechwriter and deputy press secretary for U.S. Senator John F. Kerry, helping develop the Senator’s messaging and overall communications strategy.  In this role, James authored numerous speeches, public statements, op-eds and Internet/blog posts on a wide variety of topics ranging from national security to clean technology to healthcare.
