The housing foreclosure crisis, predatory lending, and tightening credit are issues that continue to dominate the public debate, and Freddie Mac is increasingly well-positioned to provide information, insight and recommendations.
Resolute works with Freddie Mac in 12 states on a variety of fronts -- from raising public awareness to legislative programs to market positioning. Resolute activities to date have focused on building a network throughout the Midwest that enables Freddie Mac to be proactive and prepared with respect to legislative and regulatory issues. Resolute Consulting's program includes legislative monitoring and analysis, interaction with industry associations, and market forecasting in the public arena.
Public-private partnerships are emerging in several states. For example, in Illinois, Freddie Mac is working with the Attorney General's Office on its Statewide Housing Task Force as well as the Illinois State Treasurer's Office on a housing initiative.
