DETROIT – Resolute Consulting, a national public affairs and strategic communications firm with offices in Chicago, Columbus and Washington, D.C., has opened a Detroit office and hired seasoned strategist Jason Ellenburg as vice president. Ellenburg joins Resolute with more than a decade of communications and campaign experience.

Ellenburg will manage Resolute’s Detroit office, and will also manage Michigan-based clients of Resolute’s sister company, Central Strategies, a full-service political consulting firm that supports candidates in the United States and abroad. Ellenburg will work with clients throughout the state in the business, political and government sectors.

Prior to joining Resolute, Ellenburg served as campaign manager for the re-election of some of Michigan’s most renowned political figures, including Senator Carl Levin and Congressman John Dingell. In his new position, Ellenburg will service Resolute’s existing clients in the state and continue working with businesses and organizations to improve Detroit and the state through our efforts with The Collaborative Group, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in the region.

Ellenburg has lived in Michigan for most of his life and has worked on a wide-range of issue campaigns including immigration reform policy, mass transit, and working family issues. He has directed field operations for the Michigan Democratic Party, the Oakland County Democratic party as well as for several statewide PACs. Early in his career, Ellenburg worked as a staff writer for National Journal magazine.
