Skilled in communications and organizing in the private, public and non-profit sectors, Max provides Resolute clients with writing, research, and stakeholder and public engagement support.
Working with a variety of clients in Resolute’s homeland security and international practices, Max helps develop and implement strategic communications plans for corporate and non-profit clients, drafting various communications materials and organizing outreach efforts for several campaigns. In addition to his work with Resolute, Max supports the international campaign consulting efforts of Central Strategies, Resolute’s sister company.
Max previously worked as a policy researcher and community organizer for a national environmental advocacy organization in Michigan. He also served as a Regional Field Organizer for Congressman Mark Schauer’s (MI) 2010 re-election campaign, and was responsible for all field operations in Eaton County. Max also completed internships at an international development NGO in Madrid, Spain, and a corporate litigation firm in Chicago.
Max has a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Cultures and Politics from Michigan State University with a second degree in International Relations and a minor in Spanish. At Michigan State, he was a co-chair and fundraising director for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter, as well as a finance intern with the Michigan Democratic Party. Additionally, he served as a Research Assistant to Distinguished Professor Richard Zinman of the James Madison College at MSU on international security and foreign relations policy.
