CHICAGO - Sept. 15, 2008 -The preeminent national trade association representing solid waste companies has retained Resolute Consulting to develop a public affairs campaign addressing the issue of how commercial solid wastes are handled in the City of Chicago.

The National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) aims to educate and activate customers regarding the City’s proposed program for an exclusive waste franchise, which would essentially create a monopoly on commercial solid waste disposal and recycling in Chicago.

Resolute was selected for the assignment based on the firm’s years of experience working in the waste disposal and recycling industries, along with the firm’s successful track record in building effective coalitions on public policy issues that affect business.
