Project Description

Arts, Culture, & Entertainment

Our firm and team members have extensive experience working on large-scale strategic planning, community engagement and complex communications programs for a wide range of clients. At Resolute, we understand the unique nature of partnering on a creative project, having worked with clients like Steppenwolf, the Arts Alliance, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and Redmoon Theatre. Our plans are designed both to stand out – and be flexible to fit an evolving project’s needs.

The Chicago Botanic Garden

Managing a bold branding campaign to break into new markets

PROJECT: The Chicago Botanic Garden is a living museum of national and international stature in northeastern Illinois. Resolute Consulting Partner Anne-Marie St. Germaine previously worked as vice president for external affairs for The Chicago Botanic Garden. Anne-Marie leveraged a grant from the MacArthur Foundation to develop a branding campaign to help the Garden “break out” into a broader marketplace of awareness and relevance among target audiences.

STRATEGY: The Garden team crafted a set of core messages based on research and developed tailored messages for each audience, tested in collateral materials and focus groups.  The Garden launched an earned and paid media campaign.

OUTCOME: During the three-year “Just One Look” campaign, the Garden was able to achieve quantitative and qualitative results in benchmark areas of major- and annual gifts, a more diverse demographic of visitors, and a growth in membership.

Arts Alliance

Developing digital strategies to engage and activate Chicagoans

PROJECT: Arts Alliance is the state’s leading voice for the arts and arts education. Resolute Consulting was engaged by Arts Alliance Illinois (AAI) to develop and implement an initiative to position the Mayor’s Chicago Cultural Plan as an impactful arts strategy to build community, stimulate economic development, create jobs, and foster innovation.

STRATEGY: Resolute worked with AAI to manage a committee of 30+ of the city’s top arts and cultural leaders to launch Accelerate Culture. We worked with AAI to brand and launch the initiative, including development of a logo and collateral materials, construct a website, launch social media pages, promote in the media and run a data-targeting paid digital program.

OUTCOME: As a result of our campaign, 85 aldermanic candidates signed the Accelerate Culture pledge and 13 new organizations and 599 individuals joined Accelerate Culture.
