Every day our team works with community organizations and leaders of neighborhood, civic and religious organizations across the country on a  variety of issues. We develop communications strategies to position and brand organizations and issues; manage issue campaigns and coalitions which successfully engage, educate and activate people from all walks of life; develop, pitch and secure news coverage in national, local, mainstream, industry and community-based media; and utilize all avenues of communications to reach our targeted audiences. Resolute’s growth is a direct result of our success in providing consistent and forward-thinking strategic counsel. We attract and retain clients such as LISC Chicago, Clean Energy Trust (CET), Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA), American Beverage Association, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, National Immigration Forum, and hundreds of other private corporations, governmental entities and trade associations.

Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation

Improving brand and image through a strategic communications campaign

PROJECT: The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation is a nonprofit promoting the architect’s legacy through education and preservation of two National Historic Landmarks. Resolute developed a strategic communications campaign for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, which faced challenges related to its governing structure, certification and capabilities.

STRATEGY: Our in-depth image building campaign focused around key initiatives targeted internal and external stakeholders who could assist the board and leadership in building support for organizational changes.

OUTCOME: The effort has resulted in high-level media placements and a clearer mission and set of goals of the foundation moving forward.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC)

Refining organizational priorities and aligning communications strategies to build a brand

PROJECT: LISC Chicago is a national nonprofit helping both community-based and for-profit development organizations transform distressed neighborhoods. LISC Chicago is an indispensable force in connecting community organizations and local leaders with resources to revitalize neighborhoods and improve quality of life.

STRATEGY: Resolute assisted LISC Chicago with the completion of a three-year business plan, keyed to building on the organization’s assets and strengths as it embarks on a major fundraising campaign.

OUTCOME: The Resolute team worked hand-in-hand with LISC leadership and staff to evaluate the plan, define goals and develop a plan subsequently presented to the LISC Chicago Board of Advisors. Resolute worked with LISC to develop a comprehensive communications strategy that supports successful implementation of the business plan and fundraising efforts.

Columbia College

Promoting the profile of a new leader within the Chicago civic and educational community 

PROJECT: Columbia College is an international leader and recognized pioneer in arts and media educations. Columbia College Chicago’s president retained Resolute Consulting to review all communications and marketing functions.

STRATEGY: Subsequently, Resolute’s managing director assumed the role of Interim Vice President of Communications and Marketing while the administration conducted a national search for the new position. Resolute also worked with the new president to raise his profile in the Chicago area and introduced him to prominent leaders in the business and civic communities.

OUTCOME: Resolute identified opinion leaders and decision makers with whom the new president should engage; crafted position papers; developed an governance outline for a new student-focused website; served on the steering committee for the College’s five-year strategic plan; and oversaw communications and marketing functions, including branding, digital strategies, publications, creative services, and media relations.
