In its second annual “Latinos 40 Under 40” list, Negocios Now recognized Resolute’s Claudia Rodriguez for her work as acting executive director of the Illinois Beverage Association.

“Latinos 40 Under 40” honors outstanding members of the young generation of Latinos in the Chicago area. This year’s recipients were selected following a five-month nomination and selection process, and they represent business, government, nonprofits, politics, sports and education, among other fields.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to showcase the positive contributions of these young Latinos, many of which are millennials,” said Clemente Nicado, publisher and editor in chief of Nicado Publishing Company, owner of Negocios Now. “These special men and women who are truly paving the way for future Hispanic generations to admire and follow.”

A leader in the office and in the community, Claudia takes a highly organized approach to work in order to achieve results.

As acting executive director of the Illinois Beverage Association, Claudia represents the bottlers, distributors and employees of the soft drink industry in Illinois. She promotes the IBA’s mission and values through coordination and implementation of its advocacy agenda within the context of the public interest.

Claudia is also a commissioner of the Little Village Special Service Area #25 on the southwest side of Chicago.  She is a board member of the Mexican Civic Society of Illinois and is a certified Chicago Conversations Corps leader, promoting environmental awareness projects throughout the city. Claudia is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy & Administration from Northwestern University.
