Ben’s background includes organizing, communications, government relations, and campaign management. At Resolute, he works with non-profit associations and foundations on branding and positioning their statewide organizations.  He develops and executes communications and outreach strategies, including legislative advocacy programs for clients looking to engage both the public and private sector.

He also currently serves as executive director of For a Better Chicago, an issue advocacy organization working to ensure taxpayers and their families, businesses and the entire city are engaged and educated on the issues shaping the future of Chicago.  He manages outreach and communications efforts to assist elected public and elected officials in crafting a long-term vision and plan for the city.

Ben was formerly a Political Consultant at The Strategy Group and Deputy District Administrator in the Office of Congressman Jesse L. Jackson Jr. in the 2nd Congressional District of Illinois, providing strategic political advice and communications expertise. He is an alumnus of the College Democrats of America, the 75,000-member youth arm of the Democratic National Committee. In 2007, Ben helped manage press operations and political strategy for the winning campaign of Sandi Jackson who is the Alderman in the 7th Ward of Chicago. He has worked extensively in political organizing and has managed large-scale volunteer efforts in both Oregon and Illinois.

Ben is a native of Evanston, Illinois and graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
