Emily Pevnick | Senior Account Executive

Emily brings an extraordinary wealth of experience in managing relationships with foreign governments and private sector stakeholders, supports a wide range of clients in both the private and nonprofit sectors at Resolute. She uses her deep understanding of government affairs and her strategic sensibility about deploying the right people with the right message to help shape Chicago as a global city. 
Prior to joining Resolute, Emily served as Deputy Director for Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Office of Strategic Parnterships and Global Affairs for almost four years, strengthening political, academic, economic, and cultural ties between Chicago and its international partners. During her tenure in the Mayor’s Office, Emily developed international strategic messaging, marketing materials, and agreements with global cities and partners. She was responsible for planning high-level foreign visits and conferences in Chicago for seven heads of state and 40 mayors. She helped manage numerous Mayoral trips abroad, including to China, Europe, Mexico, and Canada. She served as international point of contact for World Business Chicago, Chicago Aldermen, City of Chicago departments, and 85 foreign consulate offices. She also worked closely with the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Development and the former Office of Public Engagement to identify strategic areas of community engagement.
Prior to serving in the Mayor’s Office, Emily was the Area Director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) where she led grassroots, political, advocacy and development work for Minnesota, Indiana and Iowa. She worked on policy initiatives with donors and Members of Congress, led advocacy training sessions for 600+ donors, and created business plans and leadership structures for each state. Earlier positions with AIPAC included Midwest Deputy Regional Political Director, where she led political donor engagement in nine states, developed reports on Middle East affairs and Midwest political races for senior regional staff, and served as keynote speaker for donors about current political and policy issues in the U.S. and Middle East. She started her career as a National Field Organizer for AIPAC in Washington, D.C.
Emily is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington. She is a trustee of the Jewish Women’s Foundation, a board member of CityPAC and the Jewish United Fund’s Young Women’s City Council, a Vice Chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council, and was named one of Oy! Chicago’s 36 under 36 last year.
