Veteran government, gaming and aviation expert B.R. Lane has earned a reputation in Illinois and Indiana for effectively navigating complex business, political and regulatory landscapes in a variety of managerial, appointed and private sector roles.

Her wide-ranging policy expertise will help expand the reach of Resolute as the firm continues to grow to more comprehensively serve private, public and civic non-profit clients.
B.R. has a proven track-record of developing and executing complex strategies to address significant administrative, regulatory and political challenges. B.R. served as director of the Illinois Lottery, restoring confidence and credibility to the management of the lottery by negotiating an exit deal from a failed private management agreement and making the lottery profitable again for the state.
Previous to her involvement with the state of Illinois, B.R. served as interim director of the Gary/Chicago International Airport, managing a public private partnership to revitalize the airport’s operations and leading a team that negotiated for a $175 million runway expansion to continue on schedule. Before that, B.R. was a fixture in Gary’s City Hall, serving roles as deputy mayor and chief of staff to the mayor and resolving key and complicated stakeholder and legislative issues, both behind-the-scenes and in front of legislative and administrative bodies.
As manager of regulatory compliance at International Game Technology (IGT) for nearly five years, B.R. oversaw the maintenance of more than 360 corporate gaming licenses in over 300 jurisdictions for the world’s largest supplier of gaming machines.
B.R. has J.D. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the University of Memphis.
