Rob is the leading expert on running issue advocacy campaigns in Illinois. Insightful and strategic, Rob has an extensive and sharply perceptive view of the Illinois ecosystem, understanding the politics and the players, the communities and the issues and how to align it all to help clients achieve their goals. Rob’s natural analytical skills are informed by years of problem solving in politics and government affairs.
Recent Engagements: Rob was the client lead for the American Beverage Association Can the Tax Campaign, that recently secured the repeal of the Cook County Beverage Tax on behalf of a broad retail, hospitality and beverage industry coalition. He provides strategic counsel to several clients including Sterling Bay Lincoln Yards, Willis Towers Watson, Illinois Beverage Association, and the Obama Foundation. He provided public engagement counsel for the Amazon We’re All In Campaign.
At Resolute, Rob develops strategies that encompass complex legislative initiatives, moving through political hurdles and maneuvering around unforeseen obstacles to shape decisions that drive success for our clients.
He manages a team of client service professionals day-to-day and provides strategic counsel to clients across a spectrum of industries, leading issue advocacy and earned media campaigns and advising clients on the most effective ways to secure regulatory and other approvals at the local, state and federal levels. His sector expertise includes real estate and land use, energy, telecommunications and transportation.
Rob led Resolute’s award-winning “Moving Beyond Congestion” campaign on behalf of the Regional Transportation Authority and has led efforts on behalf of McDonald’s, Uber, CTA, Google and American Beverage Association.
Prior to joining Resolute, Rob was director of government relations for the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, and served as a communications and campaign aide to the Illinois House of Representatives – Democratic Caucus.
Rob serves on chair of the board for the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence.
